The company is not giving much away at present, but its application appears to be for video where very high definition is required. How the resulting footage will be displayed is anyone's guess as the resolution is 60x HD. DPReview says that the design differs from the 53MP sensor in the 5Ds/R and I wonder if this is the first indication of the new sensor technology which it has been rumoured Canon is developing?
